What is Baptism?

The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a decision to follow Christ. Baptism allows a believer to communicate to the world their commitment to Christ. It is your public statement of your decision to receive Christ. At Mission Community Church, we believe in baptism by complete immersion in water.

Romans 6:3-5 -Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.

We celebrate baptism during our regular Sunday morning services at 11:00 am. On the day you are scheduled to be baptized, please plan to arrive about 15 minutes before the service and check in with the pastor. Please bring a change of clothes. We will provide towels and restrooms for changing.

When is the next baptism service?

We schedule baptisms on specific Sundays throughout the year. If you have received Christ as Lord and Savior and would like to be baptized, click below to register and a staff person will be in contact with you.
