What to Expect
At Mission Community Church, you will discover a warm group of real people dedicated to loving God and loving others. From the moment you walk up to the building you can expect to feel like a part of our family.
What are your services like?
While services are somewhat different from week to week, all of them have two main elements: vibrant worship and a life-changing message. There will typically be a welcome at the beginning of the service from one of our staff, and a time to respond to the message at the end. We also have a time of giving to contribute to the vision and expenses of the church. Services usually last about 60 minutes.
NO DRESS CODE
We do not have a dress code! Come just as you are. You can wear a suit and dress clothes or a t-shirt, jeans, and sandals. What you wear is not as important as the fact that you are there to learn about God.
A Warm Greeting
A heartfelt greeting is part of what makes a church a church. No matter what question you might have just ask. Our greeters are there to help you get settled and comfortable.
There’s nothing like the smell of good coffee to warm you up.
You will see people of different races serving, communicating, and worshiping together.
We love music. We have music to show our Lord how much we love and honor Him. Our worship style is primarily contemporary.
The Bible tells us to speak the truth in love. The Bible is God’s truth. At Mission Community Church, we seek to explore, understand, and apply God’s truth to our lives at every level in a spirit of love. You will find a growing variety of resources to help you grow in God’s truth.
What about my kids?
During our Sunday services, we have Mission Kids, our children's service for kids from birth - 4th grade. In Mission Kids, your kids will experience engaging, age-appropriate teaching, music, and activities directing them toward a daily relationship with Christ. We utilize a check-in and name tag system that ensures a safe environment for your kids. All Mission Kids staff and volunteers are dedicated to the spiritual growth, safety, and well-being of each child. Our job is to teach, nurture, and “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). We want your kids to learn how to love God and love others.
WHAT ABOUT STUDENTS?
Mission Youth has multiple opportunities for students in grades 5th-12th to get involved, and we're dedicated to connecting the heart of your student to the heart of God. Our weekly Wednesday-night services for 5th-12th grade start at 6:30 pm and include teaching that is relevant and applicable to a student's life and hands-on interaction with staff and volunteers. We will also have special events and activities for the youth. During the weekend, we encourage students to take part in the service with their parents.
